First week done – installed 1.6 version to find out we dont use yet so started again with 1.5.3. We Joomla a lot to develop customers sites so learning with a vengeance how it all works .See first attempts ……

Decided to post about the internship I have started and keep a diary of progress and learnings to share.
First day – I have started learning Joomla 1.6.3 – I will learn how to build and develop a site and I have decided to adapt the task to end up with an internship site for the company so as I learn I can leave a learning resource for the next student.

I was so impressed with Expression Engine I bought a copy and starting rebuildng my portfolio site – take a look all draft at this stage but work in progress – I am adding paypal next to make some money I hope from a idea I have – please take a look soon to see that idea in practice !

My Project is called …”Twenty” – it represents a journey of twenty years, months,weeks, days and hours from 1991 to 2011.
I have used several multimedia elements to create the finished project – photography using D80 Nikon , flash and video (web cam using camtasia studio 7).
A very pleasing and rewarding experience was to obtain, convert from vhs tape to digitial format a piece of BBC archive based on an interviewI had with Martin Bell 20 years ago and viewed by my mother at breakfast during the Gulf War. I had some challenges in converting the media but I am very pleased with the end result.
There are some good technical learnings from the project as I had to learn flash animation and some advanced photoshop techniques for my graphics pieces to pull the whole project together.
